Study on the Blood Picture of Various Dermatoses

Abstract
So far today the blood Picture of specific dermatoses such as leprosy, syphilis, skin tuberculosis, pemphigus and eczema was studied a good many ways.
Author has studied the blood picture especially red blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit, white blood cells and its differential counts in 217-cases of. various skin diseases such as contact dermatitis, urticaria, chronic eczema, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, erythema muultiforme, `erythema nodosum, drug e,-option, prurigo, Hchen urtic atus, exfoliative dermatitis and puzpura. At the same time liver function tests were performed in 46 cases including 25 cakes of contact dermatitis, 6 cases of chronic eczema,:5 eases of atopic dermatitis, 5-cases of urticaria and 5 cases of exfoliztive dermatitis: After-wards the correlations of hose two groups were investigated.
Among all mentioned above dermatoses except purpura no changes of red blood cells, hemoglobin and hematocrit were observed according to the authorIs own control of normal values which were obtained in 62 normal healthy adults. Other findings are as follows;
1. In contact dermatitis leucocytes and e:)sinophils are increased while neutrophils slightly decreased.
2. Moderate increase of lymphocytes in urticaria.
3. In chronic eczema leucacyteus and lymphocytes slightly increased but neutrophils somewhat decreased.
4. In atopic dermatitis le;uc0cyte3 and eosinophils increased and the; a was also moderate increase of lymphocytes.
5. In seborreheic dermatitis monocytes and basophils were increased but eosinophils were slightly increased.
6. In erythema multiforme monocytes were decreased and lescocytes increased slightly.
7. In erythema nodosumi ne.trophils increased and lymphocytes and monocyles were decre.sed.
8. In drug eruption monocytes were decreased.
9. In Prurigo eosinophils were increased.
10. In lichen urtic atus neutrophils were decreased.
11. In exfoliative dermatitis these am marked increase of leucocytes and eosinophils and decrease of neutrophils, lymphocytes and basophils.
12. In purpura red blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit were decreased.
The increase of white blood cells in contact dermatitis and exfoliative dermatitis almost paralleled with the extension of their lesions.
Marked liver function disturbances were found in a good many cases of esfoliativedermatitis while slight degree of liver function disturbances were found in some cases of contact dermatitis and it was found that some cases of chronic eczema, urticarm and atopdc dermatitis Save some imfhOwe to liver function.
The fact of le-scocytes increase in eafoliative dermatitis and contact dermatitis seems more or less go parallels with liver function disturbances.
